On the back are the words, "Horses were first introduced to North America by the Spanish in the 1500's. Native American Indians began using horses in the early 1600's. The wild mustangs of today are the descendents of those horses." Buckle is enhanced with blue and green enamel. This exquisitely carved buckle is made of fully cast metal with a standard bale that fits up to 2" belts.
